(Moncton, New Brunswick: November 22, 2017) Moncton hosted the St John's Edge Wednesday night at the Moncton Coliseum for their season home opener.
The Magic played a tough game and were able to keep the lead for the majority, but were held to 12 points in the 4th. St John's had the 'Edge' tonight, finishing with 96 points over Moncton's 89.
Canadian small forward Terry Thomas led the Magic throughout and was the game high scorer with 25 points total. On top of those 25, the Dartmouth native added 3 assists and 8 rebounds, earning himself player of the game.
Alex Johnson a guard for St John's contested Thomas in points for most of the game, dropping 19 for the Edge.
Tim Mitchell had a huge impact in the frontcourt nabbing 13 rebounds along with 8 points for Moncton.
The Magic play their next game Thursday November 23rd at 7:00pm against the Island Storm in Charlottetown, PE. Then return to the Coliseum to host them at home on Saturday November 25th at 7:00pm.
Saturday night will be an amazing opportunity to see how these two teams stack up in a back-to-back showdown!
