The Moncton Magic hosted the Saint John Riptide Friday night for another NB rivalry game.
Moncton was able to outscore Saint John in the second half but the 11-point deficit in the 1st gave the away team the edge in the 4th.
Decided in the last seconds, with the entire crowd on their feet, the Magic were unfortunately defeated 100-99.
Terry Thomas was awarded Player of the Game for dominating the offensive end scoring 40 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
Anthony Anderson played a huge role in the second half, finishing with 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. In his second game with the team, Brent Jennings added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Point Guard Horace Wormley led the Riptide with his 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
The Magic will start 2018 by heading to Saint John for a rematch against the Riptide Tuesday January 2nd, then returning home Thursday January 4th for their first shot at the Windsor Express, 7:00pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
